Object Detector – AI Camera is designed with privacy as a core principle. All AI processing runs entirely on your device. After the one-time model download on first use, object detection works completely offline, with no internet connection required. The app does not use any cloud or third-party AI service, and it does not send, transmit, or share any user data or personal data with any server, third party, or AI service. No personal data is collected.
The app requires access to your device's camera to perform real-time object detection. Camera frames are processed locally on your iPhone using on-device AI models. No camera images or video are ever saved, uploaded, or shared. Frames are discarded immediately after inference.
All object detection is performed locally on your device using Apple's on-device machine-learning frameworks (Core ML) with the RF-DETR and YOLOX models. Camera frames and detection results are processed entirely on-device and are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server, third party, or AI service. The app does not use OpenAI, any cloud AI, or any external inference service of any kind.
The AI model files (the Core ML model weights for RF-DETR, YOLOX-S) are downloaded from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) over the internet the first time a model is selected. This is a one-way download only: the app receives model files from Hugging Face to your device. No user data, camera data, personal data, usage data, telemetry, or analytics is ever sent during this request or at any other time. Once downloaded, the models are stored locally and run completely offline on your device.

None of this data is transmitted off your device.
The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect device identifiers, usage statistics, or behavioral data.
The app does not share any user data or personal data with any third party or AI service. The only outbound network request the app makes is the one-way download of AI model files from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) on first use, described above. That request transfers model files to your device and contains no user data. Hugging Face's own privacy policy applies only to that file-download request. No other third-party services, SDKs, or servers are used.
This app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is suitable for all ages.
If this policy changes in a future version, the updated policy will be made available at the same URL and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
